Rebekah Angove is driven by her passion to advance the field of patient and community engagement and promote a culture of stakeholder inclusion. Dr. Angove serves as the Associate Director of Health Services Research at the Louisiana Public Health Institute (LPHI) where she provides leadership in the area of community and stakeholder engagement in research. Dr. Angove is the Director of Engagement for Research Action for Health Network (REACHnet, PCORnet CDRN) and contributes to the national conversation by serving on the PCORnet Engagement Committee. She is PI on a PCORI funded Engagement Award to develop clinical staff capacity around patient centered outcomes research (PCOR), and an RWJF funded project focused on the intersection of patient engagement and equity. With formal training and experiential expertise in Community Engaged Research, she has worked closely with health systems to develop strategies that integrate principles of patient engagement into clinic-based research and care, including her work on the Tulane NEXT-D2 Project. She has taught numerous courses in engagement and related topics to undergraduate, graduate, and medical students; and also contributes to a number of community-based and engagement-focused advisory groups.
